Philipp Koralus

Profile image of Philipp Koralus

Philipp Koralus is McCord Professor of Philosophy and AI and Director of the Human-Centered AI Lab (HAI Lab) in the Institute for Ethics in AI at the University of Oxford. He is the author of Reason and Inquiry (OUP 2023). His research focuses on the nature of reason and on the problem of bringing AI systems into the service of human flourishing. He was previously Fulford Clarendon Professor of Philosophy and Cognitive Science at the University of Oxford. He has held fellowships at the Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study and at Washington University in St. Louis. He holds a Phd in Philosophy and Neuroscience from Princeton University.
